Kickstart is an initiative by Headstart Network foundation where startups pitch their ideas to a panel of judges who are active angel investors and venture capitalists. After inviting applications, the startups are shortlisted by Headstart. On the day of the event, the startups battle it out in a fiery pitch session in front of a jury. The day ends with networking and the announcement of the winners. Investors set up one on one meetings with startups they are interested in funding.

This is the second edition of Kickstart Nationals. Kickstart Regionals will be hosted in 5 cities (Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Raipur) in January 2018. The best startups from these regional round will fly to Bangalore for the mega finals on 10th of February 2018.

The previous edition of Kickstart saw 115 meetings setup for 20 startups with 27 Investors. This edition is going to be larger and more impactful :)

What we are looking for in the top startups:

• Does the startup solve a big problem in a big, fast growing market?
• How good is the traction?
• Does the team have the wherewithal to become a market leader?
• Does the startup have a sustainable competitive advantage?
• How is your idea influencing the society or making an impact in your target segment.
